I had such a good time photographing this adorable family last week!  Chris and Shauna wanted a location that yelled "Texas" and downtown Roanoke was the perfect place!  The Miranda Family has been here for a few years, coming from Arizona and she wanted the location to really describe the area around us.  We were so glad the weather cooperated because Chris is leaving for Afghanistan for 9 months at the end of April, and I would have been so sick if it rained and we would have had to post-pone the session until he returned.  

I love how they coordinated their outfits-which were perfect for location.  Roanoke has a lot of red brick buildings, so I asked her to stay away from those types of colors and she did a great job!  Here is a sneak peek of this incredible family!

Matt and I are so lucky to have this cute couple as friends!  Matt, Andy and I go way back (ok..like 12 years..but that's a long time!).  We went to high school together and were really good friends.  I'm so glad we've stayed friends all this time.  Andy and Alisha are expecting their first child-Abigail-the end of May.  It's been so fun getting to experience pregnant life with Alisha.  I'm excited to get the girls together for play dates once they are old enough to play!

I was so honored when they asked me to do their maternity pictures.  We headed out to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens and it was a perfect day.  The Japanese Gardens are officially my favorite place to shoot!  They had their engagement pictures done there and wanted to do the same for this session.  I'm so glad we did because the pictures came out perfectly!
